If you want to use a non sequential sort order, customize "Sort as" in the [Format dialog](/edit-access/formatting). ## Sort by value Press "Response" once to sort by value: <img src="/uploads/upload/image/5200/direct/1577817128767-1577817128767.png" alt="Expanded view of Q1 responses showing all nine categories from "0" to "100", with "1 to 10" having the highest percentage at 67.0% and several categories showing low percentages like 1.0% to 3.0%." style="width: 360px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> Note: If there are no changes, the default is already set to sort by value for that element (see [JSON editor: type](http://help.protobi.com/editaccess/edit-json#type-15).) Press "Response" again to reverse the sorting order: <img src="/uploads/upload/image/5200/direct/1577816686685-1577816686685.png" alt="Q1 responses sorted in descending order by percentage, starting with "71 to 80" at 2.0% at the top and ending with "0" at 5.0% and "N" (italicized) at the bottom." style="width: 360px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> ## Sort by frequency Press "#/%" once to sort by frequency: <img src="/uploads/upload/image/5200/direct/1577816780534-1577816780534.png" alt="Q1 responses sorted with "1 to 10" (67.0%) at the top, followed by "11 to 20" (16.0%) and "0" (5.0%), showing a custom sort order with the highest percentages prioritized." style="width: 360px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> Press "#/%" again to reverse the sorting order: <img src="/uploads/upload/image/5200/direct/1577816943321-1577816943321.png" alt="Alternative sort order for Q1 with "31 to 40" (1.0%) at the top, followed by "61 to 70" (1.0%) and other categories, ending with "1 to 10" (67.0%) and "N" at the bottom." style="width: 360px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> ## Sorting in compact groups In compact groups, you can press "#/%" to sort by frequency. Note: For compact groups, sorting by frequency does not save. If you close and reopen the project you'll need to press to sort again. <img src="/uploads/upload/image/5200/direct/1578335963058-1578335963058.png" alt="Multi-select question S10v1 asking "Which of the following therapies have you prescribed/recommended in the last 12 months for Condition X?" with "Compact to 1" view, showing 12 products sorted by percentage from "Product H" (79.0%) to "Product F" (7.0%)." style="width: 360px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib">
