Is there a way to export the crosstabs into a banner format?

If you are running a crosstab and you export, you will see the export as a crosstab. You can export one thing, many things, or everything into a crosstab.

If I wanna save it (crosstab) as a saved comparison how do I do that? Instead of adhock playing around with it?

The global crosstab variable is not saved. If you do it across the board it doesn’t work, but it does if you do it in individual groups it can be saved.

Can I do recoding for variables? Ex. Nurses is the option but respondents put “nurse practitioner”

We handle this under data processing. We create a new javascript code.

Can we merge questions?

Group context menu: Transform dialog→ condense. This is a lot more useful for open-end questions.

The easiest way to undo is to mess with the JSON?

Under project there is local history that can show you local changes you have made. If I choose to go back, it can restore things that I deleted earlier.

How far back does that go?

It goes back to the beginning of the current session. It’s most useful when the browser gets closed. Try to only have one person with the editing baton at a time.

We are considering a qual project in seven other countries. We think the surveys will be pretty much the same. Can we create a merged version of this with other countries data?

Yes, but you do have to careful in certain items. If you decide to delete a certain question...don’t use that same element for something else. We pay for Google translate API.

If we update or do recoding and add a new data file it will overwrite old right?

We recommend doing data processing in protobi. For M3 the best time is to do so before fielding is done. If you have additional cleaning to do, we can do them by respondents and put that into data processing. Once data shows up, and you find respondents are of poor quality after the fact, we can remove them in Protobi.

This is your first project, for the firm few cuts we can do it with you. Once you’re comfortable, you can do it yourself.

We will clean it up more, and email you to follow up tomorrow.
